[Workshop] Late Summer Pond: A Collective Sensory Workshop

Welcome to the 4482 [SASAPARI] Art Workshop!

We are pleased to present the second art workshop of 2026, held as part of Gachi (가치/같이): Surroundings and Companions.

Join us for Late Summer Pond, an artist-led outdoor workshop that invites you to slow down, observe, and create together through drawing, clay, and collective installation.

Led by UK-based artist Hyunah Koh, the workshop begins with close observation of the natural surroundings before participants create tactile pond creatures using air-dry clay and acrylic. Each individual work is then brought together on a shared canvas, gradually forming a collaborative pond-like landscape.

Part of the 4482 Art Workshop Series 2026, this workshop explores our relationship with the natural world through collective making. Inspired by ponds as places where diverse species coexist through subtle interactions, the session encourages participants to reimagine ecology not as a fixed landscape, but as a living network of connections.

Expect a relaxed late summer evening of observation, making, conversation, and shared reflection.

No prior experience is required.

About the Artist

Hyunah Koh is a London-based painter whose practice is rooted in a heightened sensitivity to sound and touch. Her work explores fragile and often overlooked moments of life and investigates the boundary between seeing and touching. Through painting and participatory experiences, she encourages slower observation and empathy towards other forms of life.
