Welcome to the 4482 [SASAPARI] Art Talk series!

We are pleased to present the first artist talk of 2026, held in conjunction with the opening exhibition of Gachi (가치/같이): Surroundings and Companions.

Join us for Tactile Ceramics: Moulding Identity, an artist talk with Chaeeun Kim, a UK-based ceramic artist and designer.

Chaeeun Kim holds an MA in Design from Central Saint Martins. Her practice explores the physical possibilities of clay through casting and material experimentation, often merging ceramic and textile languages. She treats mould lines not as imperfections, but as visual blueprints that reveal structure, process, and the labour embedded within each form.

Her recent work engages with environmental concerns, including water inequality and the ecological impact of textile dyeing. Through sculptural vessels, she reflects on resilience and the layered meanings carried by domestic objects.

Through this talk, Chaeeun will share insights into her material practice and artistic approach, offering a closer look at how identity, process, and environment intersect within her work.

We warmly invite you to join us for this intimate evening of conversation and reflection within the setting of our exhibition space.
