Hyunah Koh
Hyunah Koh (고현아) is a London-based painter and 2025 Royal College of Art MA graduate. Recipient of the Colart UK Bursary Award, her practice is rooted in a heightened sensitivity to sound and touch, exploring fragile and often overlooked moments of life through painting and sensory experience. She investigates the boundary between seeing and touching.
Her work constructs an ecological and ethical space, fostering empathy toward vulnerable forms of life and drawing attention to what resists recognition. It moves through cycles of life, death, decay, and regeneration that continuously reshape perception, positioning painting as a site that reactivates empathy and reconnects human perception with environments shaped by these cycles.

Two flowers emerge from the drawing, their roots woven inextricably into the dark earth. This work explores the subterranean world, a vibrant realm where various entities forge a symbiotic grace. Through the patient layering of clay and acrylic, the artist records how unseen energy manifests in a rhythmic emergence, celebrating the infinite possibilities that bloom from a shared source of life.
